Arappaleeswarar Temple :

The Arappaleeshwarar temple is located on the arterial road that runs through the hills, the road on which buses ply. There is a regular Govt bus service from Namakkal right up to the temple.

The temple for Arappaleeswarar (Lord Shiva) and Aram Valartha Nayagi (Goddess Parvathi) is located in a peaceful and serene location amidst the greenery of the Kolli Hills. The temple, named ‘Thiru Araippalli’, is a Devara vai puththalam being mentioned in the poetry of Thirugnana Sambandar and Appar. ‘Arai’ means hill and Pallii’ means temple. The eighteen Siddhars of Tamil tradition worshiped at the temple and their idols can be found along the outer wall (mathil) of the temple.

The entrance to the steps leading to the falls is right opposite the temple.

There are several small shops around the temple that sell tea, coffee, snacks, and beverages, along with local produce such as pepper, pineapple, jackfruit, and millet.

Agaya-Gangai-Waterfalls :

Agaya Gangai waterfalls are a nice place to visit during the rainy season for the watery experience. There is a small river that runs right next to the temple which can be reached by climbing down about 50 steps.

The Agaya Gangai waterfalls, the main attraction of Kolli hills is also formed by the same river. There is a small river Named,  Aiyaaru that runs through Kolli Hills, which makes the Agaya Gangai waterfalls. We have to go down about 1200 steps to reach the falls. The entrance to the steps is right opposite Arappaleeswarar temple. The height of the falls is about 300 feet. Parts of the stretch are steep and strenuous. 

Maasila Falls:

Maasila falls is much smaller than “Aagaya Gangai waterfalls” but it is easily accessible, much safer for bathing and an ideal place for family outings. Good place for nature and landscape photography.

A concrete pathway that extends right up to the waterfall exists and an improvised parking spot has been set up in recent times for the benefit of tourists. The view from the temple is enchanting and the lush greenery that surrounds the waterfall adds to the feeling of being in another world altogether.

Kolli Paavai (Ettukkai Amman) Temple:

Kolli Hills or Kolli Malai in Tamil got its name from the Goddess Ettukai Amman also known as Kolli Paavai, the local deity. 

Ettukai Amman Temple is located near to Masila Falls and off the road on the way to Agaya Gangai falls. Poojas on no moon day are very special. The mountains have several mythological legends associated with them.

Kolli Paavai temple is located on a small mountain and one has to park and walk for a km to reach the temple. Temple is surrounded by beautiful mountains, farms, and forests. Seekuparai and Selur Nadu ViewPoints :

Seekuparai and Selur Nadu refer to two viewpoints that are being developed by the Government in an effort to promote tourism in Kolli Hills. Extremely low pollution coupled with considerably high privacy due to a lack of awareness regarding the viewpoints make Seekuparai and Selur Nadu an ideal place to visit and unwind. 

Selur viewpoint is at the top of the Kolli hills. Low valley of Kolli hills can be seen from this point. This is popularly known as Rock pillar. On a good day, you can have a wonderful sight of the valley and hills and an ideal place to take good photographs. A must visit place in Kolli Hills.

Seekuparai viewpoint is a place for green valley lovers. The viewpoint offers a beautiful 180-degree view of green valley and the nearby green-clad mountains beside the Namakkal town in the plains.
